BACK INJURIES

The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) states that back injuries are the second most common work injury, after hand injuries. Overexertion was the single leading cause of workplace injury in 2010, according to the National Safety Council. This means people are pushing, pulling and lifting more than their body is capable.

SHOULDER & NECK INJURIES

Suffering a shoulder injury or neck injury at work can be serious enough to render you unable to perform the normal duties expected of your job. If you have suffered any kind of neck injury or shoulder injury as a result of your job, you should be contacting an attorney at our law firm about filing a workers’ compensation claim. There are many ways we can help.

HAND & WRIST INJURIES

Hands and wrists contain a great amount of very small bones that allow for dexterity, but they can also be fragile. Damage to small bones, connecting tissue, or cartilage can result in limited movement or extreme pain. Construction workers, landscapers, office employees, and virtually any other occupation can be vulnerable to a hand or wrist injury.

KNEE & FOOT INJURIES

Workplace leg injuries are fairly common, regardless of profession. Knee joints are especially vulnerable to serious injury. Knee injuries at work can result from a sudden accident or chronic knee pain can linger for years after being subjected to continuous strain. Many occupations require standing or walking as part of a work day, so it only makes sense could affect Nevada employees.

BURN INJURIES

According to the U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA ), more than 5,000 workers are hospitalized after getting burned at work each year, and approximately 200 of those burn injuries are fatal. Burns can understandably be among the most serious of all work-related injuries. People who suffer a severe burn injury also suffer some of the most painful injuries you can imagine.

AMPUTATIONS

Certain on-the-job injuries are more serious than most, and an amputation of a finger, or any other body part, qualifies as very serious. Most work injuries are treatable, but there is no way to treat a missing limb. When you suffer an amputation at work, you need a Nevada Workers’ Compensation attorney who will aggressively fight for your rights to compensation.

HEAD INJURIES

If you have suffered a head trauma or traumatic brain injury at work or on the job, you may be entitled to receiving workers’ compensation benefits. Work comp benefits can pay for your doctor bills, out of pocket expenses and reimburse you for time missed from work. The process is complicated, and you would be best served by hiring an experienced workers’ compensation attorney.

HEART & LUNG CONDITIONS

Toxic exposure in the workplace can lead to all sorts of medical conditions that affect the heart and lungs of a worker. The Center for Disease Control reports that over 20 million people in the U.S. are exposed to harmful toxins. If you have suffered a pulmonary or respiratory condition as a result of your workplace or job, you may be entitled to workers’ compensation benefits.

When you suffer an injury at work, you need a Nevada Workers’ Compensation attorney who will aggressively fight for your rights to compensation. There are time limits to file your claim so, contact Attorney Jay Short for a Free Consultation about your legal rights to get started today.

WHY YOU NEED TO HIRE A WORKERS’ COMPENSATION ATTORNEY

The Workers’ Compensation system is designed and intended to compensate an injured worker while they are unable to perform their typical job duties. Work Comp benefits can cover medical bills, out-of-pocket expenses, and wages lost from being away from your job. However, the system now appears to favor insurance companies and business interests more than injured workers.

Insurance companies have legal teams representing their best interests, and you should too. The goal of the Nevada Work Comp Center and Attorney Jay Short is to provide injured workers with a legal team fighting to protect the workers’ rights to compensation after a work-related injury. Put our experience to you and get the compensation you deserve.
